September 12 - September 22, 2013: The GREAT State Fair of Oklahoma
Our 2013 FRC robot (Rinzler) was at the State Fair! In fact, he placed first in his division! BLUE RIBBON!
During the 10 days of the State Fair, thousands of people walk thru and view the various 4-H exhibits. It's hard to know how many of those people stopped by and looked at Rinzler, but Its safe to say that he made his presense known. In fact, of all the 4-H exhibits, there is nothing like a large 120 pound robot to attract attention!
On Saturday morning (Sept 21) from 1:00 AM to 3:00 PM, we had Rinzler show off his frisbie throwing skills. It's hard to estimate how many people stopped by to watch Rinzler do his thing. But I'd estimate at least 500.
In addition to having Rinzler at the fair, we also had our showcase BEST robot (TomCat) showing his skills as well.
We invited the Cleveland County 4-H Robot Team. Their robot also shot frisbies.
Thursday - Saturday, August 22-24, 2013: The Oklahoma County Free Fair.

On Saturday morning from 9:00 AM to Noon, we had Rinzler show off his frisbie throwing skills. Several dozen people stopped by to watch and learn about our team. We even let some younger 4-H'ers control the joystick that shoots frisbies.
