SPRING SEASON - OKC FIRST Robotics Competition(FRC)

In the Spring, we compete in the Oklahoma City FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). When we do activities related to FRC we become the Oklahoma County 4-H Robotics Team. Since we are a part of the Oklahoma County 4-H youth organization, there are opportunities to be involved with a wide variety of other activities and benefits as well as robotics.

FALL SEASON - Boosting Engineering Science and Technology (BEST) competition

At the beginning of the school year, we compete in the HEARTLAND BEST competition. During this competition we are known as the Oklahoma City Home School Robotics Team. Most of the students are home-schooled, but we welcome students from public and private schools as well.

For Younger Students - FIRST Lego League (FLL)

We have considered re-starting our FLL (FIRST Lego League) team:
The Mini-Munkees
Several things have to occur for this to happen. Contact coach Stuart or Larry if interested.

Pre-Kickoff Meetings for FIRST Robotics Competition

The BEST Robotics season is officially over. And what an amazing season we had. It is now time to re-focus and set our eyes on the 2017 FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) season!

We plan on having several pre-kickoff meetings before the actual kickoff on January 7, 2017.

Unless told otherwise, these meetings will be held at the AAR classroom, or the AAR shop.

As you head south on Meridian toward Will Rogers airport, you will see a split in the road. Meridian continues on South, but the terminal road veers a little to the left. Pretend you are heading for the tall FAA Air Traffic Control Tower and take Meridian. You will also note that there is a sign that says AAR on it. The approximate address is 6515 South Meridian. Many of the buildings do not have an address on them, so if you get lost, please call.

Here is a Google Map of the area (in a separate page).
Here is a map (in a separate page) with key spots pointed out.

STOP BUILD DAY (bag and tag day)

All teams must stop working on their robot.

The above webpage says 11:59 PM EST. In previous years, it was 11:59 PM in your local timezone. However, this was deemed unfair to some teams, so now it is 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time (10:59PM in Oklahoma).
